Northville Placid Trail Redux

Hello to all,

I am planning a backpacking trip on the NPT in the Adirondacks this summer from June 30-July 8.

I have organized the hike so you could:

a) complete the full hike 9 days 122 miles
b) complete one or more 3 day 2 night hikes of approx 30 miles - two of which are on weekends
c) complete one of 2 day hikes Wakely Dam to Blue Mountain Lake (July 4th, 12.4 miles) and/or Lake Placid to Wanika Falls and return (July 8th, 13 miles).

I also plan on doing 2 work up hikes on the 3rd weekend of May and June, 2 days 1 night, in preparation.  These will be somewhere in Chenango County (likely on the FLT).

If you have any interest or want more information please contact me.

Chobani at the Next Club Meeting

Hi Bullthistlers,
John Elia has arranged for a great donation of Chobani and a photo op with the Evening Sun. If you could all bring your Sidote, FLT or Chobani bandanas and club shirts, it will make for a great picture. John has some good deals on bandanas if you didn't get one before.

The details of the Annual Cross-County Hike Series have been posted on the FLTC website:

http://www.fltconference.org/trails/what-s-happening/hike-programs-2/cross-county-hike-series/

This year the series of 6 hikes is in Tompkins County from April through September. Please share this information with your friends as well. Registration is required, and it is open to non-FLTC members. Of course, we'd be thrilled if you joined! The FLT exists because of our members and friends. We appreciate their support.
